Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 October 2026 · Applies to brainonia.com and the Brainonia game at beta.brainonia.com

1. The beta

Brainonia is in public beta. It is free to use during the beta and is provided "as is": features may change, games may occasionally be interrupted (for example during an update), and the service may be paused or ended. We will announce paid plans before they start; anything that is free during the beta will not start charging you without your agreement.

2. Who may use it

Teachers, tutors, parents and other adults may host games. Students of any age may join a game hosted by an adult, in class or at home, under that adult's supervision. The adult hosting a game is responsible for how it is used with their students, including following their school's rules on digital tools.

3. Acceptable use

• Use nicknames that are kind and appropriate; do not use full real names. Teachers can rename or remove players.
• Do not put personal information about students (or anyone else) into question sets.
• Do not upload content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, violent or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Do not try to break, overload, copy or misuse the service, or use it to collect data about others.

We may remove content or block access that breaks these rules.

4. Your content

Question sets you write remain yours. You allow us to store and display them so you can use them in your games. We do not publish your question sets to other people without your permission.

5. AI-drafted questions

The AI can draft questions and a second AI pass checks the answers, but AI can still make mistakes. Please read AI-drafted questions before playing them with a class. Built-in question packs are also checked, but if you find an error, use the report button in the game or email us.

6. Our content

The Brainonia name, game, artwork and built-in questions belong to Brainonia or its licensors (some artwork uses free CC0 models by Kenney). You may use them only to play Brainonia.

7. No warranty, limited liability

To the extent the law allows, Brainonia is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or interrupted lessons arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

8. Privacy

How we handle data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced on brainonia.com. Questions: [email protected].
